The Majorie Firm resolves conflicts by thinking outside the box.
Although specialization in certain substantive legal areas may yield
efficiencies for transactional services we think it can actually impede
creative thinking about resolving disputes. The key to effective dispute
resolution is to combine both the theoretical and the practical in a
way which maximizes the client's options -- and solutions -- to the problem.
- One way we accomplish this goal is to look at
all of the substantive and procedural law applicable
to a clients problem, not just the law of contracts, torts, or
some other narrow specialty.
Another way we accomplish this goal is to put the problem
in its real-world business context, making sure that all legal and business
avenues have been identified and pursued.
By taking a more global approach, we are able to find solutions which
are often overlooked by lawyers whose views of the client's needs are
colored by the fact that they are limited by the "how it is
always done" assumptions of the practice group or area in which they
specialize.
